Natalie was asked to design a series of custom wall and window graphics for the Pediatric Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, a joint venture with Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Perspectus led the design of the renovation, which includes 12 patient rooms and supporting staff spaces.

The colorful patient room graphics are printed directly to dry-erase footwalls, allowing staff to write notes on the surfaces. Featuring seasonal views of Berea Falls Scenic Overlook and Big Creek Reservation in the Cleveland Metroparks, the designs extend a visual language previously established in other UH Rainbow units, adapting the geometric, layered illustration style with vibrant overlapping colors and playful woodland details. Translucent vinyl door graphics shift as sliding doors open and close, giving each room a sense of discovery.
